PLANULA offers beautiful accommodation set within 2.5 acres of tropical landscaped gardens just over 3km from the centre of Byron Bay. You will love the relaxed atmosphere created in this modern B&B style retreat. Unwind on the extensive decks around the house or the large grass area at the back and enjoy the lush gardens. How about listening to the birds and frogs over a BBQ at night?

PLANULA offers 5 bedrooms, each with modern ensuite bathroom, one with a double spa. All rooms overlook our lush gardens. Inside you can enjoy our large collection of CDs, DVDs and games or simply relax with a good book in the spacious guest lounge under cathedral ceilings. Or make use of our free wireless broadband internet access, very fast and always on. All stays at PLANULA include extensive continental breakfasts each morning with plunger coffee, home baked bread or muffins,fresh fruit, yoghurts, a range of cereals, different kinds of bread, fruit juice, as well as the newspaper of the day.

We are the only true remaining oasis that close to town! The only thing you hear will be the soothing sounds of frogs and birds.

Business Facilities

PLANULA is a place to relax and unwind. We do however have FREE wireless broadband in all guest rooms and common areas (even on the shady decks outside). If you don't have a wifi compatible laptop you can use PLANULA's for a nominal charge.

Check In Instructions

Please inform us with your aproximate arrival time so we can make sure you are welcomed properly. Arrival after 7pm is no problem by prior arrangement.

Children and Extra Guests Details

Children over 8 are welcome at PLANULA. Extra beds can be arranged in some of our rooms for $30/40 extra per night (including breakfast). Please call to confirm.

Ample off-street car parking on property.

Travel Directions

Melaleuca Drive is an unsealed road, just off Ewingsdale Road (the main road into Byron Bay from the North).

If you come from Byron Bay it is the first road on the left after Belongil Fields Camping Ground.

If you come from the highway you will see a BP petrol station on the left (3 km) and Melaleuca Drive is on the right, just after. There is a B&B sign on the beginning of the road.

Byron Bay has always been known for the alternative lifestyle and friendly people and is the perfect holiday destination for people who want something more than beach alone. The many cafes and the relaxed atmosphere put you in a holiday mood right away. For people that need to be active to have a real break don't worry there is more than enough to do! You can go scuba diving, hang gliding, sky diving and more or just get a massage, yoga or float tank session.
